The Learning Journey
This resource was developed by Houghton Valley School as a school wide approach
to information literacy. It includes printable sheets that students can
use to record their brainstorms, their key questions, their sources of information,
and their notes. It also includes sheets which they can use to plan what
they will do with their information and to record how well they thought
their "learning journey" went. view

integrated studies with their year 10 and 11 students. These resources
include printable sheets which can be used to assist students with problem
solving and inquiry in the context of units of work which integrate social
studies with technology education. They include criteria for assessing
student achievement and forms for students to use when evaluating their

Thinking Taxonomy, Thinking Strategies & Multiple
Intelligences
This resource is adapted from Charts in Michael Pohls's
"Learning to Think, Thinking to Learn" 2000 Hawker Brownlow,
Australia. The taxonmoy gives ideas for how thnking skills and strategies
can be applied to various stages of learning such as remembering, understanding
and applying. It also provides ideas as to how different intelligences
might be used for these three stages of learning.

Integrated Unit Planner
Use this resource to plan an integrated unit. It is based
upon ideas in "Planning Curriculum Connections", Murdoch &
Hornsby, 1997. It provides printable forms for recording various components
of an integrated unit plan.
